Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Curiomancer, a service for taste-based place recommendations and taste-twin matching, operated by Curiomancer LLC ("Curiomancer", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using Curiomancer, you agree to these terms. Curiomancer is an early-stage service, and these terms will grow as the product does.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Curiomancer. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Your account

You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Give us accurate information, and let us know at contact us if you think your account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

Use Curiomancer respectfully. Don't harass, impersonate, or block-evade other users; don't scrape, spam, or misuse the service; and don't use it for anything illegal. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and you can block anyone you don't want to interact with from Settings.

Your content

You own the ratings and messages you submit to Curiomancer ("your content"). By submitting it, you grant us the license we need to store, process, and display it as part of running the service, such as showing your ratings to compute recommendations or delivering your messages to the people you send them to. See our Privacy Policy for how your taste data is used and protected in recommendations and matches.

Subscriptions

Curiomancer is currently free to use. If we introduce a paid plan, billing will be handled by a third-party payment processor, and we'll update these terms with the relevant pricing and cancellation terms before it launches.

Termination

You may stop using Curiomancer at any time. We don't yet have a self-serve way to delete your account; contact us and we'll take care of it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

Disclaimers

We provide the service as is, without warranties of any kind. Place information, recommendations, and matches are provided for convenience and may be inaccurate or incomplete. We may change or discontinue features at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Curiomancer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including your interactions with other users or places recommended through it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

We'll update this page as the service changes and update the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use Curiomancer after a change means you accept the updated terms.
