  2. Scroll down and tap Delete account.
  3. Enter your password and tap Delete.

In the Android app

  1. Open the Settings tab.
  2. Scroll down and tap Delete account.

On the website

  1. Sign in and open Settings.
  2. At the bottom of the page, choose Delete account.
  3. Confirm with Delete account.

If you have World

Deleting your account cancels World immediately. The current month isn't refunded unless the law requires it, for example within 14 days of first subscribing in the EU or the UK. If Stripe can't confirm the cancellation, nothing is deleted and you'll be asked to try again.

What is deleted

  • Your account, with your name, email address, password, and profile photo.
  • Your ratings, location, Incognito setting, and share link.
  • Your conversations and messages. A conversation is deleted for both people in it, so the person you talked with loses it too.
  • Your blocks, API tokens, and app sign-ins.
  • Your sessions, your World subscription record, and the recommendations and skipped places tied to you.

What is kept

  • Reports you made and reports about you, with the links to your account removed. A report can include a copy of a reported message or a shared map link. We keep them to deal with repeat abuse and legal claims.
  • Invitations you sent, including the email addresses you invited, with nothing linking them to you.
  • Your waitlist entry, if you joined through the waitlist. Ask us and we'll delete it.
  • Analytics events in PostHog, tied to an account id that no longer points to anyone.
  • Error reports in Sentry, until they expire.
  • Stripe's own billing records, which Stripe keeps under its privacy policy and tax law.
  • Emails between you and us.
  • Places you added to the map, which are public venues and aren't linked to you.

The Privacy policy has the details.

If you can't sign in

Reset your password first. If that doesn't work, email [email protected] from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm it's you, cancel any World subscription, and delete the account within 30 days.
